• The Land: Be aware and prepared to face and navigate the landscape of The Land, mountainous regions of Florissant, Colorado. The landscape is purposely kept in its original state as it provides natural cognitive training, re-training and remembrance of our instincts and reptilian skills. Accidents possible if you are not present and careful enough and seek help and guidance at all necessary times. At The Land we practice and are challenged constantly by the natural world, as it has always been for our specie. You may notice the physical, spiritual, cognitive and emotionally demanding consequences of relaxation, habit change, and setting change. Minimal lights, technology, heightening rest, leisure and quietness may be significantly present sometimes, while at other times there will be isolated or integrative multi-network stimulation. Frequently, activities are performed to challenge dysfunctional systems utilizing spiritual tools.

 The Land is the ancestral home of many other animals that have evolved for thousands of years with human beings, so you may encounter them. Animals are numerous and accidents possible if you are not present and careful enough. You are in Bear land. Be aware of your surroundings and know how to interact safely in case of an encounter. Minimal safety tools are provided at The Land, and you are encouraged and should bring your own. Do research ahead of time about the animals that live and have lived in the Colorado mountains of Florissant. You are at your own risk. Animal examples include, but not limited to bears, mountain lions, deer, ants, mouse, cockroaches, spiders, snakes, chipmunk, squirrel and many others.  We are located at an altitude of approximately 8500ft above sea level. The Land is characterized by hills of significant inclination, plateaus, downslopes, rocks, dirt, disintegrating soil, pine needles, gravel/sand from disintegrated stones, tree leaves, slippery regions, any and all other possible variations of terrain present in the Colorado mountains of Florissant. One or more branches of a canyon cut through the property. Non-fenced edges of significant altitude, cliffs, broken tree branches, sticks, and significantly uneven ground are present everywhere, even around and being part of the man-made facilities. Vegetation is also characterized by thorns and cacti.

Safety, accommodation and convenience features will be built as information about those factors and their solutions will become available through community discussions. Their implementation also depends on our capacity and ability to safely and transformational materialize and realize what is necessary. As a member of the community, our service to the people depends on what we all invest in and do for ourselves. Yadira has no obligation or responsibility to modify The Land, The Earth or Mother Nature to satisfy any particular needs. Questions, concerns and considerations undertaken by each individual and solutions proposed and carried out shall be in alignment with the environment, and the inner transformative journey. Whenever possible and doable, considering material and physical responsibilities and capabilities, naturally appealing and respectful modifications to enhance individuals’ wellbeing will be undertaken, such as visual cues, rustic and natural obstacles in dangerous or precipitous edges, soft lighting, etc. Individuals must and will have to train new mental abilities, misused and even lost in modern societies. You are at your own risk. You bear us free from responsibility for the consequences of your visit, actions and behaviors. Do not feel obligated to come. 

• Weather, climate: Fierce natural forces of storms, hail, heavy rain, fast and sudden winds, temperature changes are frequently manifested and witnessed at The Land. Natural sounds are profound here, with minimal electronic, machine-like, man-made, disruptive, annoying or polluting sounds. For the unaccustomed brain this may require a period of detoxification, withdrawal and re-adaptation to what is healthy. Just like a drug addict goes through discomfort while recovering healthy functioning. Trust that the end product will be worth it of the sacrifice. Recognize that it takes time and is different for everyone. You will have an opportunity to experience the wild world that can help build resilience and remember our strong roots.
• Natural substances: The diet that is offered at The Land is organic through all senses. Certain natural ancestral substances with spiritual and integrative medicinal properties that have been used for thousands of years by Aboriginal tribes of South America are present and offered. Inform yourself about them before visiting us. You will be offered a questionnaire to specify your dietary needs, and we will try to accommodate those as much as possible. Make sure you stay in touch with our preparation team close to your arrival about any specific needs. In some cases, we may not be able to break our dietary guidelines to satisfy your needs, however we respect your power of choice.
• Man made/created or derived: Following a biopsychosocio-spiritual community lifestyle model, we scrutinize, debate and chastise anything that is derived from modern society that is determined to be dangerous or detrimental to human health, such as water, atmospheric, chemical, auditory, visual pollutants. Please do not bring to The Land non-organic items, substances or materials unless previously discussed and agreed, such as important equipment or tools. Trash follows a carry-in, carry-out policy. Bluetti solar generator, similar units and other man-made devices containing lithium batteries are present scattered throughout The Land, some of them even brought by guests and visitors. Be aware of the risks of Lithium batteries including explosion, severe physical damage and death. In The Land open fires, and those produced by gas and other natural and man-modified fuels are frequently present. Be aware of the potential damages that may occur around fire, flames and explosives. You are at your own risk. Be aware of your surroundings at all times. Make the best decision for you at all times.
• Rest spots: As of July 2025, and perhaps during the entire 2025 season rest spots consist of outdoor spaces, camping units such as tents and RVs with everything that such lifestyle includes and not. Our facilities include composting toilets and outdoor kitchen and dining space.

You bear Yadira Velazquez free from responsibility for the consequences of any possible irresponsible and careless behavior that is not attentive to detail when walking, behaving, especially around animals, dangerous territories and substances.

• Integrative: All conversations and interactions (besides the moments around certain meals assigned to cognitive chit chatting) focus on and follow an integrative approach. Matters pertaining to spiritual, religious, cognitive, emotional, political, physical experiences are taken into consideration, brought to conscious awareness and discussed from a Three Worlds perspective (past-present-future). We are direct whenever necessary and remind one-another of our purpose together.
• Visitors’ questionnaire: Your wellbeing during your visit to our residency is our priority. We must know some things about you to host you in a personalized and meaningful manner. We are opening the doors of our sacred space, our home, our Land, of our ancestors, our animals, and the elements, to you. We need to know who you are, where you have been, certain features of your past to tailor, guide you and perfect our positive interaction at The Land. This is our Spiritual Residency, a place of upmost respect and alignment with one another, nature, the cosmos and the creative forces. If there is anything about us that you would like to know prior to your arrival, please let me know. Dr. Velazquez, as a host with a medical background, considers many factors about guests to guide conversations, go slowly on touchy subjects, smooth interactions between guests, to consider certain safety and personal issues and features, to try to satisfy your needs as much as possible, and to know who you are for the wellbeing of the entire group.

The visitors’ questionnaire must be completed by all non-relative visitors at least 24hr prior to arrival. Lack of completion may prevent entering and staying at The Land. Dr. Velazquez does not review last minute questionnaires or those sent within 24hr of arrival. You release us from all responsibility derived from tardy completion and no discussion about questionnaire results. Lack of discussion about such important facts is only your entire responsibility. If there is important information to disclose make sure you discuss it with Yadira Velazquez, MD directly via email, voice or video over 48hr prior to arrival.

• Preparation conversations depend on the visitor’s questionnaire. One is included for free in your visit, and the rest, if necessary and you request them, are paid separately and fall under Science & Shamanism LLC educational programs. (put on WEBSITE). One preparation visitor’s group conversation is included and necessary for everyone visiting our residency. Depending on the Power Substances questionnaire, ancestral substances to be used, and the characteristics of your life’s journey until the moment of your visit, you may be eligible for one individual free preparation conversation. Depending on the complexity of your life’s history and present situation, you may be recommended to undergo a deeper preparation process that could and should take place under Science and Shamanism educational programs, or with an alternative qualified person. If additional preparation and collaborative multi-person, multidisciplinary conversations are needed, those are paid separately. Payment plans are available.
• Integration conversations: A minimum of one group integration conversation is offered for free after visiting The Land. Given the characteristics of The Land and the spiritual community interactions there performed, an individual can often feel shaken once they return to their modern routines. This is normal, expected and desired. During integration conversations we brainstorm together how to reproduce and recreate what you enjoyed and the new ideas you had obtained during your visit to The Land. In some cases, group or individual free conversations can be arranged 1 week, 1 month, 3 months and 6 months after your visit to accompany you during your life’s journey and to strengthen the community bonds. In other cases, more frequent individual conversations are needed, requested or recommended depending on each person. These are paid separately and following Science & Shamanism educational programs. Payment plans are available. Alternative qualified persons are available and should be used if needed, as well.
• Confidentiality: Conversations taking place during your visit are frequently recorded and can be used for personal and observational research respecting confidentiality, HIPAA, data protection international guidelines and similar. Agreements and new disclosures are being created with each visiting group, based on arising needs and considerations. Verbal agreements and disclosures can be considered and utilized as well. Privacy arrangements are made between members of the preparation team. In order to host you well, certain personal characteristics may need to be shared between members of the preparation team who are obligated by law to respect confidentiality, HIPAA, data protection international guidelines, etc. Each member of the preparation and support teams respond for their singular behavior, releasing Yadira Velazquez from bearing any responsibilities for their actions and the consequences of such.
• Research: No systemic research exists expressing the benefits or downsides of this type of intense awareness and enlightening community interactions. All are welcome to report their impressions. Fans, columnists, evaluators, appraisers and critics from the community are welcomed. Unclear and/or unsettled matters can, should, and will be subject to personal and if necessary professional scrutiny and research.
• Inclusivity: The doors of The Land are open to everyone in need of support, learning about healthy functioning, retreat, spirituality and wellness. Disabled individuals, mentally, emotionally, physically are welcomed and received. Each individual, their advocates, family members and support network are encouraged and obliged to consider all factors of the visit and their personal lives, to ask as many questions as needed, until they have reached their best decision about the potential visit. The natural psychedelic ancestral medicinal substances offered are provided under spiritual parameters, schools, lineages, knowledge and research. They are free of charge. We are a spiritual community. We try to accommodate all needs and limitations using the resources we have at hand.
• Availability: Yadira Velazquez is not obligated, nor always will she be on site, however members of the preparation team, collaborators, partners, usually are. The phone signal in the Colorado mountainous region is weak, and there is a possibility that Yadira Velazquez may not be reachable for hours. If you are concerned about your companions speak up and we will try as much as possible to accommodate your needs and desires.
• Choice: Your always have choice. Speak up, express your feelings, sensations and thoughts whenever necessary. Share also with your friends, colleagues, other visitors, family members, and your entire support network. Talk to The Land’s team until you feel heard and understood. Change is hard, acknowledge it, recognize it, embrace it and make it the easiest and joyous possible.
• Getting to the Land: The Land’s team only have the responsibility to provide address information, such as written address. It is the participants’ responsibility to inquire ahead of time with friends, family members, physical and virtual tools such as maps, satellite, etc., how to get to The Land. The drive is scenic, curvy and with poor signal. Be careful driving. Be prepared for your map to perhaps stop working or guide you to the wrong spot. Look out for signals, orient yourself, use your intuition, trust, and you will get to your destination. We are not responsible for the consequences of a difficult trip, nor for its origin and development. It is all part of the journey.
• Right to admit: Yadira Velazquez, MD reserves the right to deny entrance to anyone that demonstrates behaviors or actions against the core values of the community. Visitors are encouraged to remain curious and open to be challenged by new ideas and habits. This is a place of change.

 You release Yadira, her community spiritual movement, and Science & Shamanism LLC free from responsibility for the consequences of personal actions taken at The Land. Each visitor is at his/her/their own risk and accepts any and all possible and potential consequences that could emerge from stepping in Dr. Velazquez private residency.

 The Land is Yadira Velazquez MD spiritual residency in the state of Colorado. This is not a clinic. Only spiritual, friendly, community, non-medical encounters and interactions take place at The Land. There is no medical equipment on site. The closest medical center with urgent/emergency care is UCHealth Pikes Peak Regional Hospital

Land transportation from The Land elsewhere depends on availability. Phone signal is present only in limited spots and are frequently weak. Most of the time your phone will not have signal, which is key to achieve wellbeing goals and to enjoy The Land and the community. Being present with full awareness of the inner and outer worlds are key. Only friendly, community, spiritual support is available on site.

You are responsible for discussing with your friends, family members and care teams if you have any concerns about your capabilities to get and be here.

Invoices will be issued for expenses, damages, etc. incurred at The Land and not previously agreed to or paid for, even if accidentally or derived by ignorance or negligence. 

When in doubt ask a representative. If no-one is available at the time of the question refrain from engaging in the doubtful activity, until you seek guidance and clarification from a representative. You bear us free from responsibility for the consequences of your actions or inactions.

 This document and all its writings are posted on the Science & Shamanism website and is distributed via email and with the visitors’ questionnaire. You are responsible for obtaining and reviewing the following documents electronically. If you do not receive them by 48hr before the retreat starts, please contact a member of our team by using our website, text, email, WhatsApp etc. Do not participate in a retreat without having read, understood, discussed and accepted the information provided in such documents. Names are similar only: 1) Visitor’s Questionnaire (completed once a year), 2) Shamanic Modalities for Participants and Physicians, 3) Dietary Preparation, 4) Disclosures, Disclaimers and Agreements,  (anything else?, check email and what was sent to participants)

Right to remediate: If anything unfortunate or disagreeable happens to you, a family member, or a friend, or anyone that you know in some temporal relationship to a visit to The Land, you agree that you and through your influence, any other related parties will contact Yadira Velazquez via email, phone, website, WhatsApp, etc, to explain the situation, and share feelings, emotions, thoughts, desires, expectations, worries, etc. Yadira Velazquez agrees to participate and facilitate such conversation(s), as many as necessary until the matter is settled and closed. You deny your right to enter into any legal battle, wasting time, energy, resources, personal and social, causing psychological, mental, emotional harm, until remediation have been properly, deeply and completely explored, even if it takes years, depending on human organism tolerance and capacity to handle stress and stressors.

By stepping into The Land, you agree to what has been disclosed to you. You bear us free from responsibility for the consequences derived from your lack of review of the documents provided.
