Youβre Invited: Healing Through Art & Nature
Jul 09, 2025A gathering for nervous system support, creativity, and connection
Join us for a gentle and restorative gathering where we’ll come together to reconnect with ourselves, the earth, and one another through creative expression and nature-based practices.
This is a safe, welcoming space for slowing down, softening the nervous system, and letting the body begin to heal through art, nature, and shared presence.
Anyone can join. We all hold inside of us a glorious, creative artist just waiting to be set free!
This is all about process, not product; about presence, not performance. All you need are some comfortable clothes and an open heart.
What about Art?
Art is one of the oldest and most instinctual ways by which we remember who we are in relation to nature. It is also one of the most profound ways available to us for remembering how to heal, how to be in balance. Through art, we translate the language of the natural world into form, color, movement and sound. A single brushstroke may recall the curve of a leaf or the flow of water. A melody might echo the call of a bird at dawn or the hush of the forest floor. Even a simple sculpture carved from wood or shaped from clay carries the essence of earth; shaped by human hands, but still rooted in something older, deeper.
When we engage with art that reflects the natural world, it’s like a mirror. We see ourselves not as separate from nature, but as part of it. This remembering can be profoundly healing. It can soften the edges of disconnection. It can slow us down, quiet the noise, and reawaken in us a sense of wonder or reverence.
Creating art is a healing act. Whether we’re painting a sunset, writing about a mountain, or weaving grasses into a basket, we are entering into a conversation with life. We’re letting the breath of the world move through us and take shape. This process brings us into the present moment, where so much healing lives; not in the past or future, but in the sacred now.
In many traditions, artistic expression has been a form of medicine-stories told by firelight, dances offered to the land, songs that carry grief and hope alike. These expressions aren’t just aesthetic, they are spiritual. They are a way of aligning the inner and outer landscapes, of bringing balance back to a soul that feels scattered or weary.
So, when we talk about art connecting us to nature and to healing, we are really talking about return; a return to wholeness, a return to rhythm, and a return to relationship; with the earth, with our bodies, and with each other. And in that return, we may just find not only beauty but also belonging.
This connection becomes even more fully alive when we go out into nature to create art. To bring our sketchpads to the forest, to sit in a grassy meadow and allow the words to flow from our pen, to sing our songs into the wind; this is not just art-making, it is communion. It is a way of listening to the land, of being shaped by it as much as we ourselves are shaping during the creative process. In a natural setting, the boundaries between ourselves and the natural world dissolve even more fully. We become part of the canvas, part of the rhythm, part of the healing field that nature offers so freely. And in that shared space, art becomes not just a response to nature, but collaboration with it.
Let’s gather, create, and heal together

Why art at The Land?
Anthropological and scientific peer-reviewed research is extensive demonstrating the beneficial effects of art for human beings; individual, collective wellbeing and joyful living.
We have been instinctually and naturally performing and getting curious about art - of course if allowed by parents and society - since early childhood. Most of us have memories and emotions associated with art, so the artistic process is a vehicle for inner exploration and transformation.
Many human organisms and nervous systems come programmed with innate artistic skills that can and should be developed, as they are often part of the souls’ mission. In shamanism, it is widely known and well recognized that acquisition of functional symptoms and disorders, including seriously psychiatric ones, can happen when innately programmed skills are not honored nor developed. This can cause stuck and unproperly moved trapped energy.
The brain functions allowing the arts experience, being it creating or enjoying it, are hosted in the right side of the brain, contrasting, counteracting and especially balancing our modern and frequently trapped in itself left intellectual analytical brain. Exchange of information between cerebral hemispheres is necessary for proper functioning. Art joyfully offers that.
Cultivating brain functions involved in the creative process through art making practices, expands, strengthens and perfects the same functions that allow us to come up with creative solutions for daily life’s problems, which are many!
Art is often derived and propelled by spiritual energies, and it can also serve the spiritual forces. Ever subtle and profound, artistic expressions are capable of moving, advancing, changing and shaking societies.
Visionary artists have always existed, beautifully showing us the realms of consciousness. Capable of translating amazing, incredible, magical worlds to material items perceived and navigated by the brain, in this dimension. Alex Gray is a known example. Psychedelics, especially the naturals - my favorite and most researched ones -, given to us by Mother Nature, are tools available in many parts of the natural world, including Colorado, USA. They allow us to discover and enjoy what life truly is about, making possible the materialization of such experiences, through art, and eventually carrying out to daily routines. Arts and psychedelics offer magical combinations that can enlighten minds and spirits, while leading us to blissful emotional experiences. Such powerful combination can help achieve and maximize your soul’s expression in this realm.
What else about art? You will notice how you can add so much beauty to the world! Express your soul’s heart and speak without words. Experience those amazing things that you can do. Accomplish, create the unimaginable. Achieve the impossible and engrain it as an antidote to hopelessness.
Art has de-stressing properties, stimulates imagination, creativity, bonding and trigger meaningful emotions! Every opportunity, every second will be special.
We are delighted to host you!
